Le Parti socialiste du Chili et le Parti pour la démocratie du Chili accueilleront plus de 80 partis politiques et organisations du monde entier à l’occasion de la Convention mondiale de l’Alliance progressiste. S’inspirant de la tradition et de l’héritage de résistance aux régimes autoritaires et de solidarité internationale illustrés par les partis progressistes chiliens, l’Alliance progressiste a choisi de se réunir au Chili pour engager des débats stratégiques avec des dirigeants politiques sur des questions clés telles que la démocratie, la justice économique, la paix et la sécurité.
Notable guests include Stefan Löfven, President of the Party of European Socialists and former Prime Minister of Sweden, Dante Delgado, Leader and Senator from Mexico, Rahul Gandhi, Leader of the Opposition in India, Mohammed Ishtayeh, former Prime Minister and Leader of Fatah in Palestine, Martin Ziguélé, Leader and former Prime Minister of the Central African Republic, Bohdan Ferens, Leader of the Social Democratic Platform in Ukraine, Esteban Paulón, Regional Coordinator of the Progressive Alliance of the Americas from Argentina, and parliamentarians from Africa, Asia-Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America.
The hosts of the international convention are Senator Paulina Vodanovic, Minister of Interior Carolina Tohá, and Minister Secretary General of the Presidency Álvaro Elizalde.
